Constitution of The Ancient Gathered
Preamble
We The Ancient Gathered, in Order to form a more perfect system, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Freedom to ourselves and our future , do enact and establish this Constitution for The Ancient Gathered.
Article One of The Ancient Gathered
Powers and Authorities
It is the role of the High Council to represent the interests of The Gathered. They serve at the discretion of the gathered and as such work according to the will of the gathered
Section One
The Gathered High Council shall be endowed by the gathered with the power, authority and responsibility to uphold the daily events of the alliance and the will of the gathered themselves. The High council shall consist of 6 members that are voted in by a majority vote of the gathered. The High Council shall serve for a term of 6 months then be required to go up for vote again.
Section Two
The Ancient Gathered shall have the power to negate any decision made by their Gathered High council. The negation of any decision made by the High Council requires a 2/3rds majority in a vote of the entire alliance.
The Ancient Gathered shall have the power to remove any member of the High Council. The removal of any member of the High Council requires a 2/3rds majority in a vote of the entire alliance.
The Founding Ancient of the Alliance is unbale to be removed as leader, they may step aside and allow another to lead in their stead but as they are the founder of The Ancient Gathered their position of authority should never be in question. They hold no more power then any other HC member but do always hold a vote and are capable of commanding a tie breaking vote.
Section Three
The High Council shall consist of the following positions:
T.A.G. Leader
T.A.G. Chief Diplomat
T.A.G. 2IC
T.A.G. War Leader
T.A.G. Ascended War Leader
T.A.G. Development
T.A.G. Internal Affairs
Section Four
Each High Council Position is empowered to choose a team of their choosing to carry out their various alliance responsibilities. Those chosen for these positions serve at the discretion of their department leader and as such can be dismissed at any time.
Article Two
Amendments
The High Council, whenever two thirds of the High council deem it necessary, may amend the Union Constitution with a 100% vote of the High council and a 75% vote of the gathered. The amendment may not directly over turn anything within the constitution it may however clarify or add to.
The Code of The Ancient Gathered is the governing rules of the alliance, though these are drawn from the Constitution.
Article Three
War
No member of T.A.G. may declare war without permission from the High Council.
No member of T.A.G.may surrender in a war without permission from the High Council.
In a war all Alliance Members must obey the Instructions of the High Council and until a state of General War is declared all massings or acts of destruction must be approved by the Alliance Leaders, 2ICs or War Leaders.
Article Four
Due Process
In all acts of defiance to the rules or laws of The Ancient Gathered, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public discussion and vote, by the alliance, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have a person from within The Ancient Gathered of his choice chosen to defend him, if so needed.
Where the accused is found guilty, punishment shall be determined on the seriousness of the crime with reparation and an apology being the base level while full expulsion and destruction by The Ancient Gathered being the most serious punishment.
Extras Job Descriptions and Powers
Alliance Leader- the alliance leader shall guide the alliance in accordance with the wishes of the members. They will suggest, discuss and finally, with alliance or High Council approval, order and implement the plans for the betterment of the Alliance. The alliance Leader hold veto power and tie breaking power in terms of any stalemates.
Alliance 2IC – handles all Issues of the alliance with the guidance of the Alliance leader
Development Officer - their responsibility is to ensure that the alliance members are meeting their alliance requirements. For example if the requirement is to grow 5million men per month then they keep track of this growth so that everyone is on track. They also keep records of alliance stats such as Mother Ship Slots and Fleets so that in a war, they may liaise with the War leader to ensure that the best arrangement in teams is done.
War Leader - Ensures that all members are at least in semi war readiness at all times. Is able to say (on a weekly basis perhaps) how much naq is in the alliance (half full banks). They create the war teams and war plans IN ADVANCE and in a war provide guidance to all members on the best ways they can fight. With the Development officer in peace time they ensure that the Naq collected each week off alliance members is appropriately distributed and used to upgrade those things that were deemed necessary.
Ascended War Leader - Will have the same duties as the war leader except they will be in the ascended realm
Diplomatic leader - they provide either nicely written messages to various people informing them that they are about to go over the farming policy and that they should refrain from further attacks. Also try to secure NAPs and other good relations for the alliances within the Union. They will also run point during any war trying to bring that war to an end with the result of our vistory.
Internal Affairs- They will handle all internal issues wether we believe there may be a spy or if someone is not meeting requirements set by development leader the internal affairs leader will lay down the punishment and handle the member, not just teaching them what not to do, but also teaching them what to do. This person will watch the main sgw forum to amke our members during war or at anytime are representing the values of this alliance.
